4 races in 12 to 20 knots on first day of FE South American Championship

Today we had extremely good conditions of wind and weather to open the '09 FE South American Championship in Maragogi, Brazil. 12 to 20 knots, warm water, clear skies and high action on the water.

Nicolas Schreier, from Peru, is leading the overall ranking with 3 bullets and a 2nd place today. Mateus Isaac and Marcello Morrone are on the 2nd and 3rd places. Nicolas is leading also the Senior division, while Mateus is the 1st between the Youths and Morrone is the best Master. Sebastian Aguirre is the 1st place in U17 division, Leonardo Venturini is winning the U15 and Bruna Martinelli is the best girl on the water today.

Some of the best FW sailors in the world are joining the FE fleet as a invited class. Gabriel Browne take 3 bullets and Wilhelm Schurmann finished in first in one race.

After the races, Marcelo Lacerda opened his house to all sailors for a pasta party. Tomorrow the forecast is good and 4 more races are scheduled to be raced starting at 11 a.m.
