We had 43 sailors disputing the Formula Experience Pan Americans in Vitoria, Brasil. The usual strong northeast winds were blowing before the first day of competition but a cold front brought unstable weather and light winds during the racing weekend.
Only 3 races were completed at the last of the 3 days in winds between 7-9 knots, enough for Romulo Finamore to take the overall title. Marcello Morrone finished in 2nd place and the great surprise of the event was Leonardo Venturini, 13, who finished at 3rd place overall with a Formula Pro Kids board.
The Brazilians have another important event in FE class in 2 weeks, the South Brazilian Championship in Camboriu, where more than 40 sailors are expected at the starting line again.
